THE NEW SPIDER-MAN MOVIE GETS A VILLIAN?

Heat Vision reports that Campbell Scott and Julianne Nicholson will play Peter Parker'sparents in Columbia Pictures' new Spider-Man movie, while Irrfan Khan (Slumdog Millionaire) is in talks to play a villain named "Van Atter." Could it be Nels Van Adder, who becomes Proto-Goblin (more info here)?
Van Adder volunteered to become a test subject for a chemical developed by Mendel Stromm and Norman Osborn. He acquired enhanced strength, fangs, and clawed hands and feet.
Annie Parisse ("Rubicon") will play the villain's wife.

They are joining the previously-announced Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone, Rhys Ifans, Martin Sheen and Denis Leary, while Sally Field has still not been confirmed.

Shooting is starting this month in Los Angeles under the direction of Marc Webb for a release date on July 3, 2012.
