Amy Adams To Play Lois Lane In New Superman Movie

Warner Bros. Pictures and Legendary Picturesannounced today that Amy Adams will star in the coveted role of Lois Lane in the new Zack Snyder-directed feature film.

Snyder said, “Second only to Superman himself, the question of who will play Lois Lane is arguably what fans have been most curious about. So we are excited to announce the casting of Amy Adams, one of the most versatile and respected actresses in films today. Amy has the talent to capture all of the qualities we love about Lois: smart, tough, funny, warm, ambitious and, of course, beautiful.”

Amy Adams will star opposite Henry Cavill, who plays the new Clark Kent/Superman in the film. The main cast also includes Diane Lane and Kevin Costner, as Martha and Jonathan Kent.

Amy Adams was recently honored with her third Oscar nomination in five years, for her performance in the true-life drama “The Fighter,” with Mark Wahlberg and Christian Bale. She previously earned Oscar nominations for her work in the acclaimed films “Doubt” and “Junebug.” She has also starred in such diverse hits as “Enchanted,” “Julie and Julia,” “Charlie Wilson’s War,” and “Catch Me If You Can.” She will next be seen in Walter Salles’ “On the Road” with Viggo Mortensen and “The Muppets.”

Charles Roven, Emma Thomas, Christopher Nolan and Deborah Snyder are the producers of the film. The screenplay is being written by David S. Goyer based on a story by Goyer and Nolan. Thomas Tull and Lloyd Phillips are serving as executive producers.

The new Superman movie will be distributed worldwide by Warner Bros. Pictures, a Warner Bros.Entertainment Company.

Kevin Costner Confirmed For 'Jonathan 'Pa' Kent' Superman's earth father In New 'Superman' Movie

Warner Bros. confirmed the addition to the movie but making it official with a press release:

Warner Bros. Pictures and Legendary Pictures announced today that Kevin Costner will play Jonathan Kent, the father who raised Clark Kent as his own son, in the new Superman movie to be directed by Zack Snyder.

Snyder stated, “Jonathan Kent is the only father figure Clark has ever had, the man who was there to help Clark understand what he was meant to do in the world as Superman. Kevin will be able to communicate the quiet strength of this rural American man who raised the greatest super hero of all time.”

Costner will star alongside Diane Lane, who plays his wife, Martha, and the film’s star, Henry Cavill, who will play the new Clark Kent/Superman.

Costner most recently starred in 2010’s “The Company Men,” and is currently in development on the comedy “The One.” He has won two Academy Awards®, for producing and directing the epic “Dances with Wolves,” also garnering a nomination for Best Actor. He has also starred in a wide range of memorable films, including “The Untouchables,” “No Way Out,” “Bull Durham,” “Field of Dreams,” “JFK,” “The Bodyguard,” “Wyatt Earp,” “Tin Cup” and “Swing Vote,” to name a few.

The Riddler Enters Arkham City

Warner Bros. has released some new images featuring The Riddler in the upcoming Batman: Arkham City game. Check them out below.

Megan Fox Being Considered For A Role In "Knocked Up" Sequel

THR is reporting the actress Megan Fox (Transformers 1 & 2) is being considered for a role in the upcoming sequel Judd Apatow's "Knocked Up" which stars Paul Rudd and Leslie Mann from Universal Pictures. No word on what exactly Fox's role will consist of for this movie.

In the comics during his first appearance, he encountered the Ghost Rider (Daniel Ketch) as a henchman for the crime lord Deathwatch. He later ran afoul of the Kingpin while on a mission to obtain two mysterious containers. His mission was foiled by the Ghost Rider, and Blackout attempted to bite the Ghost Rider on the neck, only to have his face disfigured by a burst of hellfire from the bite wounds.

Snoop Dogg, Dogg Pound React To Nate Dogg's Death


Singer Nate Dogg has passed away at the age of 41. According to family members, the singer passed late last night. The news was initially reported by Long Beach, Calif. newspaper the Press-Telegram. While the cause of his death remains unclear the infamous hook singer had been recovering from two massive strokes he suffered over the past years.
The Long Beach native made a name for himself in the rap game on Dr. Dre’s classic album The Chronic followed by a breakthrough performance alongside Warren G on the smash record "Regulate." Nate went on to release numerous solo albums including G-Funk Classics Vol. 1 & 2 followed up in late 2001 with Music & Me and the latest self-titled solo album Nate Dogg. Nate also made a scene stealing appearance on producer Mark Ronson’s "Ooh Wee" that also featured Ghostface Killah.
Following news of Nate's passing Hip-Hop artists reflected on the man who's iconic sound will always be remembered.
"There is a certain void in hip hop's heart that can never be filled.Glad we got to make history together. RT @SnoopDogg: RIP NATE DOGG" rapper Ludacris tweeted who worked withe Nate on his single "Area Codes."
"I lost a friend" an emotional Game tweeted. "Been here before. Tears. Memories. One day someone will lose "US" as well. LIVING until that day comes is our only option. R.I.P. Nate Dogg. Why does it take Death to remind us about the importance of life ??? Cherish every moment cuz tomorrow he mite call your #."
The news appeared to hit both Snoop Dogg and DPG member Daz the hardest.
"We lost a true legend n hip hop n rnb" Snoop tweeted. "One of my best friends n a brother to me since 1986 when I was a sophomore at poly high where we met. I love u buddy luv. U will always b wit me 4ever n a day u put the g n g funk u put the 1 n 213 n u put yo stamp on evrybdy u ever didit wit."
"I miss u cuzz I am so sad but so happy I got to grow up wit u and I will c u again n heaven cuz u know d slogan" Snoop continued. "all doggs go to heaven yo homie n baby brotha bigg snoopdogg!!"

"What I wouldn't give to hear him say "Roll One" just one more time" producer and friend Fred Wreck tweeted. "To the world you were a legend but to me you were my friend. iLuvUNate"
Another Cali based producer DJ Pooh called in to LA radio station KDAY to share his thoughts on the singer following news of his death. "I aint got too much to say, i'm just feeling bad for his family and the dpg family" said Pooh. "Nate was a friend of mine, nothing but love. I'm just sad. I just wanna send my love out to his family, kids, and to Snoop Dogg, Warren G and DPG."
Early this morning Nate Dogg's sibling Samuel also phoned in to KDAY thanking fans for their sentiments. According to Sam, he says he was feeling numb at the moment and that his brother had been struggling for the past three years due to his illness. Sam declined to speak on how Nate passed but said a more formal statement would be released at a later date. Rapper Snoop Dogg called in to KDAY as well but spoke privately off air.
Rest in peace Nate Dogg. You will be truly missed.

Aaron Eckhart Returning as Two-Face in The Dark Knight Rises

It's fun to speculate, isn't it? The only evidence we really have is that Aaron Eckhart has met several times with director Christopher Nolan, but he never said those meetings were for The Dark Knight Rises. Now comes this interview segment from CBS in which he's asked directly if we'll ever see Harvey Dent again, be it "in a flash back or someone's imagination" Eckhart responds with a smile and says, "I could not possibly say." First Look at Nick's Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles

Entertainment Weekly has posted a first look at Nickelodeon's "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles," which will premiere in 2012. Jason Biggs will portray the voice of Leonardo in the series.
Based on the iconic hit franchise, "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" has been greenlit for 26 episodes and will be executive produced by Ciro Nieli, Joshua Sternin and Jeffrey Ventimilia.  This half-hour CG-animated action-comedy series breathes new life into the wildly popular band of reptile brothers.  The new series begins as the turtles emerge from their hidden lair in the sewers for the very first time, ready to confront the wondrous and hostile world of New York City and face enemies more dangerous and pizza more delicious than anything they could have imagined. Funnier and ninja-ier than ever before, the show will explore the camaraderie of four teenage brothers learning to rely on themselves and one another as they unravel the mystery of their existence and grow to become the heroes they are destined to be.

The Main Villain For 'The Avengers" Movie Is...

The following does fall on the possible spoilers list so continue reading at your own desire... Latino Review is reporting that a reliable inside source has confirmed that the main villain for Joss Whedon's 'The Avengers' will be for Thor's adoptive brother and archenemy "LOKI".

Tom Hiddleston will portray Loki in the upcoming live-action Marvel Studios film "Thor" directed by Kenneth Branagh.

They also go on to confirm that Loki will us the cosmic cube seen in "Captain America: The First Avenger" and "Thor." Loki uses the cube to get a hold of the Aliens (aka The Skrulls) to invade Earth and fight "The Avengers." Skrulls are green-skinned reptilian humanoids with large pointed ears, red or green eyes, and corrugated chins.
